Mean = 57.6 +/- 17.4, median = 56, range = 12-97 (!), N = 100
Please go over
the key and make sure you understand the answers. My rough guidelines to
grade ranges are indicated on the graph. My subjective opinions on score ranges:
< 40: you will need to improve to pass the course.
40-50: You are missing most of what you shoould be getting out of the course.
50-60: Significant gaps in understanding.
60-70: Good understanding of the material but can't extend, too slow, or
make too many simple mistakes.
70+ : Great job.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to improve your
comprehension of the material.
Precise grade cutoffs will be determined only based on final results for the course,
but for your guidance in making any drop decisions here is the interim point breakdown
for everyone who took both exams: People below a 90 need to find a path to improved
understanding.
